Homestays play a crucial role in enhancing
tourist comfort due to their proximity to major attractions, such as the mangrove area. Their presence
enables visitors to stay longer, which helps circulate income in the local economy through services like
lodging, breakfast, local transportation, and traditional snacks provided by residents. Homestays also
function as a means of empowering the community, particularly by utilizing local houses that are
potential to be developed into homestays. Promotion of homestays is conducted in conjunction with the
promotion of tourist attractions, creating a mutually reinforcing impact and the more guests stay in
homestays, the higher the potential visits to the tourism objects. This research employs a qualitative
method with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The analysis is based
on the nine elements of the 9Ps Marketing Mix: Product, Price, Place, Promotion, People, Process,
Physical Evidence, Partnership, and Participation. The results show that homestay development in
Darunu is not yet optimal in several aspects, especially in terms of promotion and facilities. However,
the increase in the number of homestays from one to four reflects positive growth potential if supported
by the right strategy
2025-07-30T00:00:00+00:00##submission.copyrightStatement##http://jurnal1.polimdo.ac.id/index.php/JHP/article/view/153PEMANFAATAN MEDIA SOSIAL SEBAGAI SARANA PROMOSI HOME STAY DALAM MENINGKATKAN JUMLAH TAMU DI DESA WISATA BUDO2025-08-06T10:24:26+00:00Bet El SIlisna Lagarense[email protected]Tesya Tiara Tongko[email protected]Fonny Sangari[email protected]
This study aims to analyze the use of social media as a promotional tool for homestays in increasing
tourist visits to Budo Tourism Village. The research employs a descriptive qualitative approach with
data collection techniques including observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The main
focus is on three social media platforms—Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok used by homestay
managers and local tourism actors. The findings reveal that consistent and creative use of social media
can expand promotional reach, build a positive destination image, and attract visitors, particularly
from the younger generation. Moreover, local community involvement in content creation enhances the
authenticity of the tourism village narrative. These findings offer practical contributions to the
development of community-based digital promotion strategies in rural tourism destinations.
2025-07-30T00:00:00+00:00##submission.copyrightStatement##http://jurnal1.polimdo.ac.id/index.php/JHP/article/view/154STRATEGI PENGEMBANGAN DAN PENGELOLAAN HOMESTAY DI DESA WISATA KULU2025-08-08T02:40:45+00:00Krisliana Putri Ema Caroles[email protected]Bet El SIlisna Lagarense[email protected]Bernadain D. The
research employed a qualitative approach with data collection techniques including in-depth
interviews, participatory observation, and documentation. The findings reveal that the development
strategies focus on enhancing local human resource capacity through hospitality training, digital
promotion, and the utilization of local cultural and natural assets. Meanwhile, the management
strategies emphasize community-based governance, collaboration with village authorities and tourism
agencies, and service standardization. Major challenges include limited infrastructure, human
resources, and access to digital marketing. Therefore, a sustainable collaborative approach involving
local communities, government, and tourism stakeholders is essential to support homestays as a pillar
of the local economy in Kulu Tourism Village
2025-07-30T00:00:00+00:00##submission.copyrightStatement##http://jurnal1.polimdo.ac.id/index.php/JHP/article/view/155PENGOLAHAN BIJI JAGUNG MENJADI CORNFUSE NATURAL CHOICE SEBAGAI ALTERNATIF MINUMAN SEHAT2025-08-06T10:40:39+00:00Sintia Rajamuddin[email protected]Vena Pesik[email protected]Nabila Sanzabila Maronrong[email protected]Dimas Ero Permana[email protected]Benny Irwan Towoliu[email protected]
The growing public awareness of healthy lifestyles has led to a shift in consumption patterns,
particularly in reducing the intake of caffeinated beverages such as coffee. The adverse effects of
caffeine including sleep disturbances, anxiety, and dependency underscore the need for healthier and
more natural alternatives. This study aimed to develop Cornfuse Natural Choice, a functional
beverage derived from sweet corn, formulated to resemble coffee in aroma, taste, and appearance, yet
free of caffeine. Corn was selected for its nutritional profile, including dietary fiber, B vitamins, and
antioxidants, as well as its naturally pleasant flavor and consumer acceptance. The research
employed a design-based approach, utilizing data collection methods such as experimentation,
interviews, and organoleptic testing. A total of 13 respondents—comprising academics, students, the
general public, and industry practitioners—participated in evaluating the product’s sensory attributes
and packaging. The production process involved stages of cleaning, drying, roasting, cooling,
grinding, and packaging. Findings indicated that a 30-minute roasting period yielded the most
preferred sensory characteristics, closely mimicking coffee while preserving corn's distinctive notes.
Cornfuse Natural Choice demonstrates strong potential for commercialization as a nutritious,
caffeine-free beverage alternative in the functional food and drink market.
2025-07-30T00:00:00+00:00##submission.copyrightStatement##http://jurnal1.polimdo.ac.id/index.php/JHP/article/view/156ANALISIS KUALITAS PELAYANAN PADA ATRAKSI WISATA MANGROVE DESA WISATA BUDO2025-08-06T10:48:37+00:00Rivaldo Alfa Gumirot[email protected]Mita E. However, the quality of service and
hospitality at this tourist attraction still needs to be improved to attract tourists. This study aims to
analyze the quality of service and hospitality at the Budo Village Mangrove tourist attraction, and
provide recommendations for necessary improvements. The research method used is a qualitative
approach with a descriptive design. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and
document studies. Researchers conducted interviews with 30 tourists who had visited, and made direct
observations at the location. Indicators used to analyze service quality include five indicators, namely
tangible, reliability, assurance, empathy, and responsiveness, while hospitality is analyzed through
polite, kind, and friendly attitudes. The results showed that the quality of service at the Budo Village
Mangrove tourist attraction was adequate, but there were still shortcomings, especially in terms of
cleanliness and speed of service. Tangible and reliability indicators show that facilities are good, but
waste management and food delivery time need to be improved. Hospitality is generally good, but the
friendly attitude of reception staff and cashiers still needs to be improved. The researcher also
found that the manager's attention to visitors was lacking, which impacted the tourist experience.
The conclusion of this study is that although Budo Village Mangrove Tourism attraction has provided
satisfactory services, there are still some aspects that need to be improved to enhance the tourist
experience. Suggestions for managers include improving cleanliness, training staff to improve friendly
attitudes, and providing security tools. Future research is recommended to expand the scope of
variables studied and use quantitative methods to gain a more comprehensive understanding.
2025-07-30T00:00:00+00:00##submission.copyrightStatement##
